Conclusion
This chapter completes the review of energy markets undertaken in the previous six chapters. The focus was placed on the characteristics of the various energy commodity prices and the instruments available for hedging the price risk posed by the market. Although there is considerable overlap with respect to the range of derivative instruments available to the various commodity groups, we have geared the analysis primarily towards energy derivative contracts. It is now time to turn our attention to the next major group of commodities – metals.
